Ok. You have been pre-approved for a loan, calculated your budget and are now ready to begin the fun of finding a brand new home.
The Home Finding Needs Worksheet
Can you picture your dream house? Does it have a huge backyard? Lots of land? What kind of a neighborhood is it in? Do you want to live by a lake, a river or in-town? The more you know about what you are looking for, the quicker you will find the prefect match? Download and complete the worksheet to help you prioritize your wants and needs in your new home. This will also help me, your agent, in narrowing the focus of our search.
The Home Tour - Virtual or Reality
Initially I will setup a search that automatically emails you the homes that meet your criteria. From there you can sort through the list for the t’s-a-possibility vs the absolutely-no-way homes. This will save you from wasting a lot of time driving around.
Once you have a list of homes to see there are two ways to proceed:
- Open Houses - If you wish to tour open houses on the weekends, I can give you a stack of my cards to take with you. Consider it a “get out of jail free” card you hand to the Realtor hosting the open house. That way you can spend your time touring the home instead of answering all their sales prospecting questions.
- Home Tour - Taking you to see homes is the fun part of my job. Develop a list and we can tour several homes at once. If it is a new listing and seems to be the perfect place, give me a call and I’ll arrange to meet your there promptly.
